Release Notes

This upgrade extends the functionality of the import and export feature introduced in verion 1.4 and fixes one or two bugs.

Enhancements

117: Enhance Import and Export.
Export: you can now export from a dataview, which sets the field selection and order, the row filtering and the sort order.
Import: Removed the restriction on only importing data into an empty table. Now you can select the most suitable option from a number of import modes:
  1. Replace
  2. Merge
  3. Append
  4. Update
See the updated user guide for more detail on how these modes work.
Bugs fixed.
123: Bug in Csv reader. blank last field not read
125: The CSV export generator does not quote fields with a carriage return (\r) if they do not also contain a comma or line feed (\n)

120: Implement the import and export functionality for SQL CE databases

128: Added a maximum database size parameter to the connection configuration of a SQL CE database.
Without this configuration DbViewSharp cannot manage SQL CE databases over 256mb in size.

Minor Improvement

121: Selecting a connection from the Most Rcently Used list now opens a new tab instead of using the current tab.

Bugs fixed

127: Fix a bug in the scripting of data from tables with an auto-increment fields in a non-DBO schema.
126: Back button does not restore the previous row selection.
130: Yellow highlight misses first letter of a partial word match.
122: When editing data you cannot save changes when a computed column is in the displayed in the grid.
124: Enable decimal point precision when scripting decimal fields.
48: Deleting a connection that is used in a tab will eventually cause the system to error.
